So last weekend we packed it up and headed to Abilene. My cousin Michele got married in a lovely ceremony in my Aunt & Uncle's home. This was followed by a dinner at Abuelo's and a reception back at the house. The kids did pretty well on the trip - especially now that they face forward and can watch Baby Einstein the whole way (can you say couch potato?). They looked adorable and were quite the little entertainers. But my favorite moment was during the ceremony, as the officiant says "If anyone has any reason why these two should not be wed, speak now or forever hold your peace." And as you'd expect, it was silent - until Charis broke the silence with a loud "NO!" The crowd broke out laughing, the groom said "That one doesn't count!" and I turned beet red. We had a really good time though and were so glad to get to be a part of Michele's special weekend!

Cousin Michele's wedding

That's a story for the baby book! Too funny!! Can't wait to see the pictures.
thats TOO funny! Definitely a story to tell Charis when she's older :-) And I'm sure your cousin and the groom won't forget it either! kids are so funny!!
