Dada? You're scaring us...

I am clearly on a posting frenzy this morning, this being the third, but couldn't pass up to chance to post this beauty. So Chris lost in BOTH of his fantasy football leagues last year, and the penalty was to wear a skirt to the draft this year. I mentioned that Chris would be wearing a skirt to his draft the next day, to which Amy Kaspar replied "why, is it a drag league?" This struck me as particularly hilarious, so no, as far as I know Chris is not involved in any drag leagues, just a pretty serious penalty for losing! Secret: he claimed that wearing a skirt was very "freeing" - hmm...

Using a fork??

Truly I cannot believe this. I figured they'd just poke their eye out if they got a hold of a fork. But they are all over this. They will eat just about anything if I put it on a fork for them...even broccoli and carrots!! I guess this is something you learn to do once you turn 14 months old...sigh...

It's cool to be 14 months old!!

So the babies turned 14 months on August 20th. It is crazy how they are just growing up before my eyes! When we used to try to put sun glasses on them - to actually shield their eyes from the sun, they would pull them right off. Now they bring the shades up to us and "ask" (gesture) to have them put on. Very cute!

Our play room!

I am so excited - today we had a mural painted on the walls in the play room! I have been wanting to get this done for a while, and got the blue background of the room done back in June. I think the kids will even enjoy it as they get older. I will give a quick plug for the lady that did it, Terri Day, tj_murals@yahoo.com, (I told her she should set up a website, or better yet a blog!) but she was reasonable, quick and did a great job!

Saturday morning it was time to do some house cleaning. So Chris, believe it or not, started to vacuum. Charis used to be terrified of the vacuum (maybe Chris was too?) - but now she has gotten curious about it. Price has never minded it. And funny enough, he is in to all cleaning supplies. He loves the mop and the broom too! But they jumped right in and started helping! It was so cute! You probably also noticed that Price is naked in all the pics - that is because he has the worst diaper rash ever. He's had it since Thursday - so we have been trying to let him go "free" as much as possible.

babies, babies everywhere!

I am a member of the Mid-cities Mothers of Multiples group (the McMoms). So a couple weeks ago we had a play date at our house. There were 6 sets of twins here! The kids all had a good time playing in the ball pit and we also blew up the bounce house inside for a little while. Really, it was amazing! That's a LOT of kids!

13 month old Baylor Bears

These are from about 13 months. Seems we have had a busy couple weeks since I last posted. Both kids are walking so well - Charis is even running now. They just laugh and giggle all the time. They like to chase each other around the living room and laugh when they run into one another. Charis' new word is "shoes". She loves to say it and to bring me shoes to put on her. Price's new thing is going and saying "bye bye". The other day he brought me the keys and said emphatically "bye bye!" Not sure exactly where he wants to go - especially since it is 108 degrees outside. But the kids seem impervious to the heat - red faced and all they seem content to just stay outside. It has been a great summer though, and even with the start of school looming over me, I will be ready for Fall and a break from the heat!
