8 years and going strong...

December 29, 2009 Chris and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary.  On the one hand it is hard to believe 8 years has passed. But on the other, our actual wedding day seems like ages ago!  And wow how things have changed!  This was a very exciting anniversary and Chris surprised me with a night out.  First off, Chris has never su

rprised me like this and really is not the take-charge of the plans kind of guy! But he did it all right this time.  On his way out the door for work that morning he said "oh by the way don't thaw any steaks for tonight" as that was our plan to celebrate.  So this got me thinking...but I did not want to have my hopes up, so I was counting on take-out.  I just did not know there was a sitter lined up so how could it be anything else?  I had a hair appointment at 4, so at least my hair would be fixed, either way, I mean if there should be a sitter coming! When I got home with my new do, Chris was dressed up and ready to go, so I got myself that way too. My mom arrived about 6:30 and we were off...to Dallas! We had reservations at Nobu, and it was fabulous!! Despite some crazy weather (wintery mix) we had a wonderful, and safe night!  Thanks for a great evening, and an even greater 8 years!
