As promised, more on the Santa deal. So the idea of Santa is really just fine for Charis, but the reality is a whole different deal. Price is consistently on-board with the whole thing, and was last year as well. Price is pretty reserved but here he is happy to tell Santa what he wants for Christmas, "presents...two presents". Now Charis on the other hand, as soon as we got in line to see Santa, she started whim
pering, and the closer to the front we got the more upset she got. When I finally put her down and we tried to encourage her to go tell Santa what she wanted for Christmas she would have no part of it! So we convinced her in order to get anything for Christmas, she'd have to talk to
Santa, so she got as close as she was willing (about 3 feet away) and yelled at him "PRESENTS!" (P sound replaced with F sound). She never did sit on his lap, but at least got to make her wishes known! It was a fun party overall, complete with cookie decorating and picture coloring. And at least a little smile for the camera!

OMGoodness - pictures are worth a thousand words. You had told me about his on Saturday night but the picture of her standing 4 feet away and yelling at Santa "feasants" is just priceless!!
